Much of the nutrition advice today focuses on the negative. It often leaves us wondering if any foods are not bad for us. Fortunately, the answer is yes. Many foods can nourish us. Here are some examples:

Wheat germ is loaded with fiber, Vitamin B1, and Manganese. It also has good amounts of other nutrients like Vitamin B6 and Zinc. It is also high in complete protein.


Lima beans have plenty of fiber and provide a good source of Potassium and Magnesium. When eaten with a grain such as rice, they provide plenty of quality protein.


Brown rice provides ample fiber and Manganese. When eaten with legumes, it provides quality protein.


Spinach has plenty of folate, fiber, and carotenoids. It also has surprisingly large amounts of high quality protein.


These foods are examples showing that many great foods are available. Although not all foods are for everyone, everyone has foods that can benefit them.
